Front loading washers need special preparation for transport. A technician will need to come to your home to stabilize the drum of the washer. Your washer came with a stabilization kit. If you still have the kit – please let us know. Otherwise, the service tech will provide one. Consumer complaints indicate that front loading washers cannot be completely purged of water and have been known to have mold, mildew and odor problems. Budd Van Lines cannot be liable for any mold, mildew, or odor that develops in the unit during transit or storage in transit and/or permanent storage. Please refer to your machine’s manufacturer for specific transport and cleaning instructions.
Winter Weather Conditions – Appliances that contain fluids (water, oil) or heating elements should be allowed to return to room temperature (60 degrees) before they are used. This would include washers, dryers, waterbeds, ice-makers, grandfather clocks, water softeners and computer/electronic equipment.
