New FMCSA Training Guidelines and Compliance

Quick Industry Update from Budd Van Lines:  

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) implemented new regulations effective February 7, 2022 for Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT).

The rules will save lives by:

-Ensuring that only qualified drivers receive a CDL or license upgrade

-Setting a national baseline for entry level training

-Identifying standards that trainers must meet

-Giving States information they need at critical safety checkpoints

Budd Van Lines’ driver training school in Racine,  WI underwent an independent assessment and audit.  We are in compliance with the new regulations.  This will be detailed in our annual ESG reporting.
