WISCONSIN 

North Beach, Racine

Take a family friendly trip to the beach! Nestled on the Lake Michigan waterfront, this family-oriented oasis has more than 2,000 feet of shoreline open for fishing, picnics, and swimming.

Cave of the Mounds, Blue Mounds

Get some well needed exercise and see some incredible sites beneath the earth. Cave of the Mounds is a wondrous place for kids to learn about natural history and science. Fun for everyone. 

Harley-Davidson Museum, Milwaukee

Cloudland Canyon State Park, near Trenton and Cooper Heights

One of most scenic parks that contains rugged geology and offers visitors a range of vistas across the deep gorge cut through the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, where the elevation varies from 800 to over 1,800 feet.

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Blue Ridge

A heritage railroad that follows the former scenic Marietta and North Georgia Railroad line along the Toccoa River north to McCaysville, Georgia, and its twin city of Copperhill, Tennessee.

Booth Western Art Museum

A museum dedicated to the Western United States, which is one of only two museums of its kind in the Southeastern United States.

TEXAS

USS Lexington Museum, Corpus Christi

Visitors can tour the longest serving Essex Class aircraft carrier of World War II. The 16-deck “Blue Ghost” displays military artifacts and more than 20 aircraft.

Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Dallas

A nationally acclaimed 66-acre display garden features breathtaking floral displays all year long, it was named “One of the Most Breathtaking Gardens in the World” by Architectural Digest. 

The Buddy Holly Center, Lubbock

This will be the day to visit this iconic performance and visual arts center dedicated to the rock and roll pioneer, as well as the music of Lubbock and West Texas.

CALIFORNIA

Winchester Mystery House, San Jose

Built by an eccentric woman for more than 30 years, this site is an architectural oddity that defies explanation. 

Burney Falls, Shasta County

Once called “the eighth wonder of the world” by Theodore Roosevelt, the power of Burney Falls must be seen to be believed.

Bodie State Historic Park, Bridgeport

A relic of the Gold Rush, Bodie is a former boom town that grew quickly and noisily when people flooded it to get rich. The good news is that Bodie now functions as an amazing ghost town.
